"Where in the UNIVERSE is this place?!"

Today was a nice, breezy day with the sun shining right through the clouds. It wasn't too hot, and wasn't freezing either! I had an interview and lecture about English Majors and Minors planned, but before I left for HKU, I managed to skype with Marvin and Adnan, as well as sing a little song for Kahfi who's so in love with my voice(?) . Marvin and Adnan never fail to light up my day; Marvin with his jokes and amazing smile, Adnan with his patience and warmth. Those two always make me feel like home wherever, and whenever, and when I heard them say, "Let's pay xinyi a visit!", you cannot believe how happy I was. I was literally "over the moon", laughing and smiling all over the place. A mess.

But then, once again, I'm someone who laughs and smiles pretty often for starters.

So after all the talking, laughing, funny jokes, I had to head to HKU for an English ability test which exempts me from the CAES 1000 University core English course. So first thing I did when I got there? I got lost trying to find the area in which the interview was going to be conducted, and speed-walked in circles. Just had to get lost once in a while you know, its part of being a freshman. After wandering around blindly trying to find a red bricked building (that's what the guard told me) named "Building B", I found a building with red bricks and I swear, I have never felt happier in spotting a building. Cliche as it is, I came out 30 minutes later, finding out that it was the wrong building.

The awkward moment when everyone looks at you as if you're an alien, especially when you've walked into and explored a building with a sign that says, "no entry". Let's try that again.

Through exploration and smart navigation (I managed to find a campus map sign), I found the red bricked building named "Building B"! I went in, apologized for being late, and gasped at how complicated the "ability test" really was. It seriously caught me off guard. The people in-charge were actually pretty nice, despite not answering the phone calls of someone in need of directions. The lecture on English Majors? I ditched it. Could you imagine my utter frustration at getting lost again and again? Why do the buildings and lifts hide from me?

Getting home was the best thing ever. I just collapsed upon my bed after a nice steamy shower, and ended up snuggling my teddy til it was dinner time. Had a little chat with my bestie, pheebs, and ended up laughing about the courses I got approved for!

Productive day?

Productive day.
